Hi, I'm Jacob.
I run Testloop Labs, a one-person product studio in Stamford, CT.
I've spent fifteen years in product at Gartner, WebMD, Spectrum, FourQ and Priceline, mostly on the parts of a business where small changes compound: lifecycle messaging, personalization, funnels and experimentation.
At Priceline I ran cross-channel messaging for 30+ products and co-led more than 400 A/B tests a year. At Spectrum I led SpectrumMobile.com while Spectrum Mobile became the fastest-growing mobile provider in the country. At WebMD, swapping a plain opt-out for an opt-down experience cut global email opt-outs by 51%.
I started Testloop Labs in 2024 to do two things: help other teams run that loop well, and build products of my own for gaps I kept noticing. So far that's SnipChecker, PerfectNameFinder and, soon, OilAndElectric.
I hold a Certificate in Product Management from Cornell and a dual degree in economics and psychology from UConn. The psychology shows up more than you'd think. Outside of work, I'm into agentic AI and LLMs, vintage tech, and being a dad.

Three rules I work by.
Test, don't guess.
Opinions are a fine way to start a conversation. Experiments are how you end it.
Make it easier, not trickier.
The best growth comes from removing friction for real people, not from dark patterns that win a week and lose a customer.
Earn trust in public.
Show your sources, label what's sponsored, and rank by what's best for the user. It's how I'm building OilAndElectric.
Let's build something together.
Whether it's a funnel to fix or an idea to test, I'd like to hear about it.
